We are EGGsited to announce our next challenge, the POWERUP EGG Challenge! EGGsactly as it sounds, the POWERUP EGG Challenge will put your ingenuity and EGGspertise to the test. To compete, you must launch, fly, and safely land an EGG attached to your POWERUP 4.0 plane. Winners will be chosen based on longest flight time!

Submission due: May 31st, 2023 at 11:59pm PST 

Rules for Entry:

  1. Design must use the POWERUP 4.0 module
  2. The egg must be a chicken egg, small size or larger. Standard Small size weight is 1.5 oz /42.5 grams
  3. Airplane designs must be new/original
  4. Airplane designs must be made with any type of paper based materials (printer paper, newspaper, origami paper, paper mache, egg carton, cardboard, etc. participants can use tape, glue, staples as well)
  5. Participants must submit an original video
  6. plane must be launched from a leveled field or location.
  7. Participants must submit screenshot of flight log from POWERUP 4.0 app (more details below) 
  8. Participants must submit a photo of their plane
  9. Individuals under the age of 18 must receive parental consent before entering the contest.
  10. Winner of the previous contest can participate but will not win a prize
  11. Submissions must be made by May 31st, 2023 at 11:59pm PST.  

What are the prizes?

What to submit:

  1. A video showing your original plane in flight
  2. A photo of your original plane
  3. A screenshot of your original plane's flight log

PLEASE do not send videos via email for us to download — such submissions will be rejected. Only video links viewable on the internet will be accepted.

How will we choose the winners?

Winners will be decided based on longest flight time of successfully landed egg plane(egg safely landed).

How to measure flight time:

Post a proof of your flight duration - either by using a screenshot image of your flight log as shown below (this is relevant only for POWERUP 4.0). Or a continuous, not-edited flight video.

Q: What materials can I use?

A: You can use any material that is paper based, that includes printer paper, newspaper, origami paper, cardboard, paper mache, egg carton etc. Participants can use tape and glue as well.

Q: Am I limited to origami folding?

A: No, you are welcome to use any creation method.

Q: Am I allowed to use glue, tape, staples?

A: Yes.

Q: What is the minimum egg size?

A: chicken egg -  small size (1.5oz/42.5grams)

By entering this contest, the entrant grants to POWERUP TOYS the right to create video content depicting the entrant's airplane design, its creation, and its flight capability, as well as any other information or content that could be construed to be the intellectual property of the entrant, and to promote this content on the Internet. 
By entering this challenge, the entrant grants POWERUP TOYS the right to mention the provided Name of Designer/PILOT in any materials related to the contest, including, but not limited to, the contest videos.
