  • Introducing the PowerUp F22 Raptor® RC Airplane

Introducing the PowerUp F22 Raptor® RC Airplane

To celebrate National Aviation History month, we will be recognizing and celebrating great contributions and innovations in the development of aviation! to begin this celebratory month, we are spotlighting the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor®

Since it's first flight in 1997, the F-22 Raptor® has proven to be the top stealth tactical fighter aircraft in it's field. It was the first operational aircraft to combine supercruise, supermaneuverability, stealth, and sensor fusion in a single weapons platform. With a sleek aerodynamic design and increased thrust, the F-22® is able to cruise at supersonic airspeeds without using afterburner.

Aside from the air vehicle technology, the F-22®'s avionics and software were unparalleled in their complexity and scale. We're talking 1.7 million lines of code, the majority involving the mission systems such as processing radar data.

The F-22® was highly difficult to detect and track by radar. It was designed to have decreased radio emissions, infrared signature and acoustic signature, as well as reduced visibility to the naked eye.
Check out our version of the F22 Raptor® in flight!
